Submit an Event to the Calendar

To submit your event, please email info@callander.ca with the relevant event information.

Guidelines for Community Event Postings:

Public events: all events must be open to the public. Invitation/member-only events will not be accepted.
Location: events must take place within the Municipality of Callander. Events taking place outside the boundaries of the Municipality may be posted to the events calendar provided that the focus of the event listing is on a Municipality of Callander initiative, or Municipally supported.
Submission criteria: events should be open to the general public and generally fall under the following categories: recreation, fairs and festivals, community events (movie nights, musical performances, theatre), free events, farmers markets, history and heritage, kids and family, museums, culture, science and nature, and visual arts.
Submission process: all events will be reviewed, and if accepted, posted within 2-5 business days. The Municipality of Callander reserves the right to accept, revise, reject, or cancel, in whole or in part, any event posting at its discretion.

The Municipality will not post events that are:

Commercial in nature, and in the Municipality’s sole opinion, are attempting to advertise, promote or sell products or services of an individual or individual business unless a Municipality sponsored or sanctioned event.
Discriminatory to any individual or group.
Promote, exhibit, illustrate or manifest hate or obscene/pornographic/sexual content of any kind.
Promote an individual religion or religious service.
Fundraising events unless they are for registered charities or non-profit organizations.
Events political in nature (with the exception of notices for Council meetings, voting locations, and similar general election information).
Events that are in conflict with any applicable laws, By-laws, or policies.

Annual Community Events

Family Day Skate (February 16^th, 2026) On Family Day, the Bill Barber Arena is open for a free skate for anyone wanting to spend some quality time together while enjoying complementary hot chocolate and fun music.
	Battalion Skate (February 28^th, 2026) On Family Literacy Day, the Bill Barber Arena will be open for a free skate with Battalion players after their team practice.
Easter Egg Hunt (April 5^th, 2026) A community Easter Egg Hunt is held for families in Centennial Park on the Saturday of Easter Weekend each year. Treats are hidden throughout the park to provide a fun family activity. Community members may contribute to the treats to support the hunt.
	Pitch-In (May 2^nd, 2026) Pitch-In is a national campaign to increase community involvement in creating cleaner and healthier spaces in the community. In Callander, this event is held in the spring, and the community clean-up is an opportunity for residents of all ages to contribute to the beautification of their community and the cleaning of their environment. Community members gather at Centennial Park to collect their waste collection materials and move throughout the community to collect waste. Material is provided for free from Pitch-In Canada. The event is held on or near Spring Clean Up Day, either late April or early to mid-May.
FunFest (June 27^th, 2026) Callander’s flagship event takes place end of June/beginning of July. The day offers exciting family fun and entertainment, including a pancake breakfast, concerts, vendors, kids’ activities, fireworks, and a parade to celebrate Canada Day! Come join fellow residents for a full day of family fun! Location: Callander Community Centre and Centennial Park
Photo credit to Don Kervin	Sirens in the Park (August 15^th, 2026) This all-day event is put on for the community to help educate others on fire safety through fun games and demonstrations. It features firetrucks and equipment for display by our local Callander Volunteer Firefighters. It also includes a family-friendly Movie in the Park to top off the day!
Cranberry Day (October 3^rd, 2026) This annual event takes place end of September/beginning of October. During the day, Callander celebrates its natural cranberry forest with fresh cranberry goods, vendors, live music, and many fun activities for families at the Cranberry Trail and marsh. VENDORS ARE NOW FULL.
	Callander’s Safe Halloween (October 31^st, 2026) Near the end of October, Callander comes alive with a haunted house, games for all ages, free candy, costume contests, and more! Held at the Callander Community Centre, join fellow residents in a spooktacular evening of family fun.
Callander Lights Up Christmas (December 5th, 2026) Join residents in Centennial Park for the most spirited of the seasons. Callander Lights Up Christmas takes place on the first weekend of December every year. The evening starts with the Mayor officially lighting up the Park for the holidays, followed by hot chocolate, treats, horse- wagon rides, and a magical visit from Santa himself!

Food & Beverage Opportunities at Community Events

Food & Beverage Suppliers for Community Events – Expression of Interest

The Municipality of Callander invites local non‑profit organizations and community groups to submit an Expression of Interest to provide food and/or beverages at select municipal community events throughout the year.

This form is used to identify groups that align with community values and can support events such as pancake breakfasts or hot beverage service. Submitting the form does not guarantee participation; applications are evaluated by the Events Committee based on community benefit, capacity, accessibility, sustainability, and food safety requirements.

Approved suppliers will be contacted as opportunities arise based on event needs and scheduling.

Please submit your expression of interest in December of the prior year.
