Spring and Fall Clean Up Days

🌼Let's get Callander ready for a fresh new season!

Each spring, the Municipality offers two waste-reduction events designed to help residents declutter responsbily while keeping reusable items out of landfills.

  1. FreeCycle Weekend
  2. Spring Clean-Up Days - Curbside Pickup + Drop-Off Day

♻️FreeCycle Weekend

Saturday, May 2nd - Sunday, May 3rd.

Give your gently-used items a second life - and maybe discover some treasures of your own!

During FreeCycle Weekend, residents place usable items at the curb or sidewalk for others in the community to take, free of charge. This event helps extend the life of household goods and reduces what ends up in the landfill.

βœ” Put Out Items Like:

  • Furniture, decor, mirrors
  • Books, movies, toys, games
  • Plants, gardent ools, yard items
  • Clothing, household items, working electronics

✘ Do Not Put Out:

  • Mattresses, upholstered furniture, bedding
  • Items that could harbour pests
  • Appliances with freon
  • Hazardous or dangerous items (e.g., sharp tools, chemicals)

Timing

All items must be removed by Sunday at 6:00pm. Leftover items will not be collected, and must be brought back in, or set out during Spring Clean-Up Curbside Pick-Up, if eligible.
