Election Workers Needed for the 2026 Municipal Election

The Municipality of Callander is looking for Election Workers to assist with the 2026 Municipal Election. Read full posting here

Available Positions

We are hiring for the following roles:

  • Deputy Returning Officers
  • Election Officials
  • Vote Counters

The 2026 Municipal Election will be conducted using a Vote by Mail system.

Work Schedule

Deputy Returning Officers and Election Officials

  • Monday, October 26, 2026
  • Required to work from 9:00 a.m. until all votes have been counted

Vote Counters

  • Monday, October 26, 2026
  • Required to work from 8:00 p.m. until all votes have been counted

Mandatory Training

All election workers must attend one of the following training sessions:

  • Wednesday, September 30, 2026 | 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 1, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • A cover letter outlining your qualifications and any election or customer service experience
