Prevent Carbon Monoxide Buildup

Posted Feb 9th 2026

🚨 Carbon monoxide risks rise during ice storms:
• Clear snow/ice from exterior vents (furnace, dryer, fuel‑burning appliances)
• Have appliances, chimneys & vents inspected annually by a registered contractor (TSSA.org)
• Make sure all fuel‑burning equipment is properly vented
Working CO alarms save lives—keep them on every storey of your home.
