The Municipality of Callander would like to advise residents that OCWA will be conducting water line flushing throughout the municipal water distribution system from September 28 to October 9, 2026.

Water line flushing is a preventative maintenance activity that removes sediment and mineral deposits that naturally accumulate in water mains over time. Regular flushing helps maintain water quality, improve system performance, and support the long-term reliability of Callander's drinking water infrastructure.

During the flushing period, residents may experience:

• Temporary discolouration of tap water
• Minor fluctuations in water pressure

These conditions are normal and temporary. If discoloured water is experienced, residents are encouraged to run a cold water tap until the water clears. Residents may also wish to avoid doing laundry while the water is discoloured.

While flushing can cause short-term inconvenience, it is an important part of maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient drinking water system.

The Municipality thanks residents for their patience and cooperation while OCWA completes this important maintenance work.
