As the weather cools, wild animals become more active in their search for food. To help keep our community safe and prevent unwanted wildlife encounters, please remember:
Secure your garbage: Store bins in a garage or shed until collection day, and use animal-proof containers if possible.
Avoid leaving pet food outdoors: Bring in dishes after feeding.
Clean up fallen fruit: Remove apples, berries, and other produce from yards.
Compost responsibly: Use enclosed bins and avoid adding meat or dairy.
Feed birds wisely: Use feeders that minimize spillage and avoid feeding other wildlife.
