🔌✨ Holiday Safety Starts with Smart Power! ✨🔌

12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety - Day 6

Holiday decorations bring extra sparkle—and sometimes extra plugs. Keep the season bright and safe with these tips:

Choose approved cords. Look for CSA, ULC, or ETL marks and make sure they’re rated for indoor or outdoor use.
One cord is enough. Never link extension cords together—use one that’s long enough for the job.
Don’t overload circuits. And never run cords under rugs or across doorways where they can be damaged or cause tripping.
Inspect before you connect. If a cord is frayed or damaged, toss it.
Unplug when you leave. Decorations should never stay powered when you’re away.

🎁 Holiday lights shine brightest when safety comes first.
Protect your loved ones. Protect your home. Together, let’s keep Ontario safe this holiday season!

From communities across the province—here’s to a bright, joyful, and fire-safe holiday!
