Notice of Passing of By-law No. 2024-1947

Pursuant to Section 22 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990

Being a By-Law for an Official Plan Amendment with respect to lands located Municipally Wide in the Municipality of Callander, District of Parry Sound

Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Callander passed By-law No. 2024-1947 on the 14^th day of May 2024 to approve an Official Plan Amendment.

And Take Notice that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the Official Plan Amendment by filing with the Clerk of the Municipality no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 4^th, 2024, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection.  The filing fee of $400.00 must accompany the objection by cheque payable to the Ontario Minister of Finance.

And Take Notice that only individuals, corporations, or public bodies may appeal a decision of the Municipality to the Ontario Land Tribunal.  A notice of appeal may not be made by an unincorporated association or group.  However, a notice of appeal may be made in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.

SUBJECT PROPERTY: The subject property is located Municipally Wide in the Municipality of Callander.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE AMENDMENT:

The purpose of this amendment is to amend Section 5.0 Rural Designation and Section 7.0 Land Division of the Official Plan to reduce the suggested rural lot frontage from 100 metres to 60 metres.

The complete By-law is available for inspection in the Municipal Office located at 280 Main St. daily between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
