There are a variety of ways to  get involved with your local Council and to provide your input into decisions that affect you.

Participate in public engagement opportunities

Whenever there is an opportunity for the public to provide their input on big decisions, we will make the information available through Open Houses, Public Input Sessions, surveys, and more. Be sure to watch our News and Alerts page, our Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, and definitely register for VoyentAlert!

Provide your input to Council

You can contact any member of council directly, contact Council through the Muncipal Clerk (clerk@callander.ca), or request to speak at a Council Meeting.

Join a Committee or Volunteer Occasionally

You can help share your ideas and love for your community through one of the Committees of Council. Committees of Council provide Council with perspective and recommendations regarding important municipal issues, plans, and events. To see which committes are active and whether they are looking for new members, visit the Committees and Volunteering page.

You can also volunteer for specific events or types of community events. If you'd like to volunteer occasionally, please fill in the Volunteer Form.

Attend Council Meetings

Council Meetings are open for the public to attend, and take place at the Main Office, 280 Main Street North, and are also live-streamed to view from home. View the current Council meeting schedule here, and click here to view from home.
