Keep our Collectors Safe!
Broken glass can be a serious risk to waste collectors. It does not belong in your blue box or loose in your garbage. Place broken glass in a puncture proof container (jars or bottles) or cardboard box taped up well - labelled broken glass and put it in your garbage. Syringes and lancets should not be placed in your curbside waste. Place these items in puncture-proof containers and return them to your pharmacy or bring them to the Household Hazardous Waste Depot for free and safe disposal.

Rural : Friday commencing at 7:00 a.m.

Callander residents may dispose of items by taking them to the Merrick Landfill Site which is located on Hwy. 11 North on Sand Dam Road. For inquires on the Landfill Site's fees and hours please call 705-495-0746.
Items such as paint cans, batteries, steel, aluminium, grass clippings, leaves sod and dirt (gravel and rocks are not accepted) may be brought to the Miller Waste Depot located at 112 Patton Street in North Bay from Wednesday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
NOTICE: STATUTORY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE CHANGE - Please be advised there will be no garbage pick up on statutory holidays. For the rescheduled pick up time please reference the "Notices" section on our home page.
