Our Fire department is dedicated to the protection of our residents and visitors. We have a full time fire chief and 29 volunteer firefighters that operate out of two fire stations. Our firefighters are trained to the Ontario Firefighter Curriculum and provide a professional service and emergency response to fires, motor vehicle collisions, emergency medical incidents, ice rescues, human and natural disasters, fire prevention and public education activities.

Green Light - Used by Volunteer Firefighters
It is important to mention that firefighters are the first to respond in most emergencies. When driving and you see a vehicle with a green flashing light approaching behind or in front of you, it is important, in a secure fashion, to pull over to the roadside to let them drive by, one or several lives may depend on it.

Thanks to our website, we are now able to offer you relevant information about the department, but more importantly THE PREVENTION. Home and commercial fires have considerably decreased thanks to the prevention that is saving lives.
