Our History
The Callander Bay Heritage Museum is located in the former home and practice of Dr. Allan Roy Dafoe, world famous country doctor of the Dionne Quintuplets.
The Museum has been open to the public for over 25 years, and offers a unique experience of the past. Come enjoy a large variety of artifacts on display in its seven-room well maintained building, which houses collections from the Municipality of Callander (formerly North Himsworth Township), including records and objects pertaining to Dr. Allan Roy Dafoe, the Dionne Quintuplets, area logging and shipping, Red Cross nursing and much more.
The museum is pleased to welcome you to the historic community of Callander, Ontario.
