Planning & Development

Mandate:
The mission of Planning and Development Executive Committee is to guide the development of the community while preserving the quality of life, the protection of important natural and cultural resources and the facilitation of efficient municipal services. The primary tools used to achieve these objectives are the Official Plan, Zoning By-law (2003-857) and the Strategic Plan.

Members of the Planning and Development Executive Committee are:

• Councillor Doug Brydges - Chair
• Deputy Mayor / Councillor Virginia Onley - Vice Chair
• CAO/Clerk
• Deputy Clerk
• Chief Building Official (as required)
• Planning Administrator (as required)
• Economic Development Co-Ordinator (as required)

The following Council-appointed Committees are made up of committed volunteer members of our community. While the last two deal strictly with planning-related matters, the first four plan for and oversee many worthwhile projects that fall under the Planning and Development Budget each year:
