Council Meeting Dates

strong>Regular Council Meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 280 Main Street North. These are the formal business meetings of Council where all bylaws, motions or resolutions must be presented and voted upon by Council.

Council 'Committee of the Whole' Meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 280 Main Street North. Committee of the Whole meetings are used by the Executive Committees of Council to discuss and determine direction to be taken on all matters of Municipal business.

Meetings are open to the public unless a resolution is passed to close the meetings to the public in accordance with provisions in the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c.25, Section 239(2).

Individuals or groups wishing to appear before Council at a regular meeting or submit correspondence for Council consideration shall do so not later than 12:00 pm on the Thursday prior to the council meeting date.

By-Law 2008-1076 governs the proceedings of Council, the conduct of its members and the calling of meetings.
